In the Rillhurst IV community in Culpeper, VA, on June 30th, 2020, we were preparing to hand Marine Corps Sgt “TJ” Brennan and his family the keys to their mortgage free home. Knowing the family had not yet seen the finished product, well-wishers gathered on the porch, in the front yard, the drive way and the street, with great anticipation for their arrival. They were welcomed by local residents, the Culpeper color guard and Sherriff’s Department, and donors. Annandale Millwork was one of numerous material donors. The core build team and organizational committee was Annandale Millwork, Operation FINALLY HOME, Graystone Builders and ACE Carpentry. The SBCA Capital Chapter, a component manufacturing association that Annandale Millwork is a member of, raised most of the build dollars through its annual golf tournament, the rest was through generous personal donations, other chapter donations and Lowe’s and the Christian Broadcasting Network.
